I worked out today for the first time since May. Not because I wanted to reach a certain number on the scale or because I hate the way my body looks, but because I wanted to.
I want to live a long healthy life, and I know that being active will help me to take care of me.
In the past when I've worked out, I've just tried to find the workout that's easy, that's going to give me the quickest results.
And no matter how many times I’d search for the ”right one” I still found myself feeling angry upset, and frustrated with myself as I was going through the workout.
It didn't bring me joy. It didn't make me happy it didn't make me feel good to take care of me.
So I decided today when I woke up, I was going to work out because I wanted to. I've been wanting to for days I decided it was time for me to put myself first and get my heart pumping a bit and take care of myself in one of the best ways I know possible.
I found workouts that were fun, and enjoyable,
and that would help me feel good about myself. Help me boost my confidence,
help me feel refreshed and rejuvenated, and proud of myself. And that's what I did today, and I'm so happy I did.
I encourage you to do something that makes you feel good about yourself today. It doesn't have to be working out it could be anything. As long as it comes from your heart and from a place of genuinely wanting to take care of you.
